Thanks to the comfortable temperature and the morning rain moving out of the area, we had a very good turn out for the 2nd Annual Fishing Tournament at Del Webb Lake Providence.  A variety of fish were caught... Brim, Bass, Tilapia, but the most memorable event of the afternoon was when a gentleman hooked a huge Grass Carp from the walking bridge. It was a battle reminiscent of "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway, but today's  encounter ended with a question of who actually caught who!  Let's just say that the fish returned home with a story to tell about the big one that got away!    Congratulations go to new resident  Leanne Lindsey who not only caught the biggest fish... a nice bass, but also had the distinct honor of snagging the biggest piece of lake trash!  (Special thanks go to Carter Baxter who gave  one of his magic lures to Leanne!)

Thanks to those that put this wonderful event together and thanks to all who participated.     Ken Harris
